Not losing weight?

Help us to help you! Please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!
Remember, we're not here to judge, we're here to help.

The Scales ain't Moving!
12 Apr 2013, 08:08
The scales have remained the same for 2 weeks in a row now. I don't feel too despondent because i've had so many comments about how much weight i've lost. I've been religiously following 5:2 and I don't feel i'm overeating on feast days but am not dieting! On top of which during the weekday i'm walking 4 miles home from work at a pace of 15 minutes per mile.

What are people's views on why the scales have remained the same for these past two weeks?

Kick them! That'll get 'em moving! Right across your bathroom floor!

Sorry, I only said that because after four weeks, I am on a kinda plateau myself and felt like doing that to them this morning. Have you readjusted your calorie intake TDEE now that you are within the healthy BMI range? The less you weigh, the less your TDEE just to keep stable. Just a thought.

Body might just need a rest. Not the least bit scientific but a thought. Are you at a good weight for your shape?

That much exercise, you're probably building muscle, which is annoyingly heavier than fat. ;)

Are you losing inches? Feeling better? If so, take the scale reading for amusment value & get out the tape measure.

I know I keep harping about this but it just might be the problem, especially since you think you are still slimming down...Here is my blog entry about not losing weight when I was actually losing weight and what I do to find the truth:

It might help.
