Introduce Yourself!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hi,

I am Peter, I've been following the 5:2 diet for 6 months with great success. I hope I can share some of my experiences and help everyone, lose weight.

I am a Registered Nurse. I hope I will be able to recommend this diet as a good way to lose weight.

Best of luck everyone,
Peter

Thanks for joining us Peter and you will bring an additional professional perspective. Are many (any?) of your colleagues following 5:2 as well?

Hi Peter welcome. I'm an RGN too!
Have only been doing this for a couple of months so its always interesting to hear from people who have been following 5:2 for a few months. Though being male I expect your weight loss has been quicker than what I'm experiencing  not that I'm complaining I love this way of eating.

I don't know how much weight I've lost. I heard that body shape was better guide. I can't get discouraged by not losing weight. So my waist has gone from 108 to 96 cm and hips 110 to 106 cm I was 95 kg near the start. I will weigh myself sometime and find out.

My problem was I always stopped losing weight because I didn't lose weight fast enough. People seem to obsess about weight. It's never fast enough. For me it's important to lose it and keep it off
