Thank you, Betsygr8. I wish I were a better role model for those still on their journey! :frown:

I  this WOE! It enabled me to lose the excess weight in the first place and has given me the tools to get rid of any short term gains before they become unmanageable.

As a bonus, I found this wonderful forum! Win- win for me!

Damn! :curse: Two good fasts this week and (quite) moderate eating on the other days and I have regained one and a half pounds of the five pounds that I lost last week! :frown:

I know that this can't be real fat and I know that I can't expect to have lost anything after a five pound loss last week and I know that I had quite a lot of carbs yesterday, which would affect my water retention, but whatever my head knows, I still feel disappointed at a one and a half pound gain!

Not enough to make me give up but enough to want to shout 'It's not fair!' I am fasting today and will fast again on Friday and hope for a better result on next Sunday's weigh in. I will keep going until my target weight is once again showing on those dratted scales! :victory:

I think you've done really, really well.....no need to beat yourself up! Water weight can be so annoying and I'm sure it'll be gone again soon. I have yet to get to my goal weight and maintain: you're in an enviable position, even if it is tricky. Amazing place to be!

I started in earnest on the 5th January to lose the weight that I have regained since reaching my target at the beginning of July, last year. I did well with maintenance until October when visitors and visiting and general laziness over my food led to me regaining thirteen and a half pounds!

However, from eleven stone, six and a half pounds, I have lost nine and a quarter pounds in four weeks. This means that I only have four and a quarter pounds to go until I regain my target weight.

I have also started using my son's rower to do three sessions of HIT training a week. That is me - possibly one of the most exercise-averse people on this forum! The good thing is that it only takes fifteen minutes, every other day, and even I can cope with that!

Next time I get to my target weight I have learned some very valuable lessons about maintenance and know that I can't be complacent. So, onwards and downwards!

Well done StowgateResident - you are well on your way back to your target :like:

I was happy that I had lost my Christmas pounds easily after a week back on 5:2 but was disappointed to find that most of it went back on last week despite one fast :frown: . However I am trying to be positive as it was a stressful week at work and know I can sort this out.

Edit to add: what a lovely happy photo of you!

Thanks, @Sue.Q, I seem to be getting there, although I only lost a quarter of a pound this week! :frown: That followed three good weeks though, so I'm not too bothered.

I hope that you're getting your head back into weight-loss mode - you, amongst many others, seem to be struggling a little post-Christmas. Good luck - you've done so well to date! :clover:

 Good photograph @Stowgateresident of a happy looking lady glad you managed the avatar I couldn't do my shaking kitty without the help from moogie.
Yes I'm resting up and "feeding" my body this week because I don't honesty know what else to actually try and then will settle back down to 4:3 willingly because all this eating 3 meals a day isn't what it's cracked up to be or even as enjoyable as I remember. Lol
On the subject of my walking I did a one today and restart properly tomorrow and beyond all this should confuse the old body into realising some more fat.
I did underestimate xmas but there are so many of us that are struggling that were doing well before its so demoralising.
