4 week results
19 Feb 2013, 10:08
4 week weigh in today and I have lost 7lbs since I started. During those 4 weeks I have had many occasions which would have normally caused me 2 gain weight. 2 parties for my friends 40th (one of which was a cream tea party) A 4 day trip to disneyland which involved 2 visits to McDonalds and lovely chocolate brownies and several meals out. I can't believe that I have done all this and still lost weight !! For the first time in my life I have enjoyed food without feeling guilty.

I am also really pleased that I have cut down my risk of diabetes by getting my wasit to below 31.5in. Can't do anything about my other risk factors (hereditary and having had gestational diabetes) but one down feels better.

All the other diets I have done (and there have been many) usually start failing at around 4 weeks when I loose willpower and motivation but with 5:2 I feel really positive and can't see why I won't carry on.
Fasting today and feeling great !! :P

I recognise all you say Roo. Whilst my loss has been slow over 4 weeks, I can see no real reason not to continue as it is so easy. .. . . .. . Also, I think the changed attitudes to food all round can only be a good thing for the long term. I try and focus on the health benefits too. I am eating today but fasting again tomorrow.
