Week 2

Morning all

I'm new and on week 2 - Lost 3 lb's in week 1 Yayyy! Found day 2 fasting really hard but...
In week 2 Day 3 fast was a doddle never even thought about food not sure if it was because I was really busy helping a friend move house or what! Its the day after 3rd fast and had a sneaky peak on the scales (i cant help myself) and its showing a pound loss already :)
2moro is my 4th Fast day and Friday morning is official weigh in day!

I have 10 weeks until my weeks holiday in Bitez in Turkey so really would love to lose a stone by then - Do you think this is possible??

I have over 3-4 stone to lose in total but am feeling really positive that this is going to be my way forward! :)

Hi TracE, 10 weeks - 10 lbs....totally doable: and if you want to push that bit further, add an extra fast day for a week or 2. The other thing that I find really helps is excercise - whether its a class at the gym, a (slow)jog or even just a walk in my lunch hour....every little helps and I find that a bit of excercise improves my mood on a fast day and helps me stick with it:). Good luck, let us know how you get on.

Hi Starskey

Thanks for replying. 10 lb's in 10 weeks (this is what i need to hear) :)

I do walk during my lunch half hour there are 6 of us that go all winds and weather - stops the brain fog also from sitting and staring at a computer screen all day in the office ha ha!

Think i may do 4:3 every other week too to get a good start for my hols!

Loving this plan so far (notice I didn't put diet! I don't feel it is a diet)

Thats whats so great about it - i never feel deprived of anything and on a fast day i know that if i want chocolate I can have it - I just have to wait a day. As opposed to other diets ( and I have tried them all:), I'm all gung ho for a few days and then just give in because I get fed up about not being able to have certain stuff. I'm only on week 2 but have lost 5lbs so far so stick with it...it works. And if you have a bad day don't worry about it - I was supposed to be fasting today but i'm so tired that I just need food, so I'll just switch my fast day to tomorrow and have an early night tonight:)

This is my 4th Fast Day (2nd week) and I’m definitely finding them much easier now – I am also finding I appear to be more alert on Fast days ? Not sure if anyone else can identify with this?

I don’t generally eat til around 2pm when I just have fruit and a low fat greek yogurt. I tend to drink lots of the flavoured green teas and lots of water in between. I usually have an evening meal around 6pm which is usually in the region of 300 cals - a hot drink of Bovril is good if its cold.

I am loving the feeling of loose clothes (not felt this in a long time) despite being a member of Slimming world class for last 6 months and only losing 4 lb’s in all that time (£120 in money) I just kept putting on and losing the same pound in weight.

Today two work colleagues commented on how well I looked and had I lost weight – when I explained what plan I had been following they were eager to find out more! So may have two more converts – I also explained the health benefits too 
