Body shape
09 Mar 2013, 18:25
Hi - I am new to this forum, though I have been fasting for 6 months. I am 56 years old I started at 11 stone 11 pounds and am now 10 stone 3 pounds, but the most amazing thing is that I am starting to get the body back which I had 20 or even 30 years ago. I was 9 stone when I had both my children (38 and 34 years ago) and went up to 11 stone when full term, dropping back to 9 stone almost immediately after giving birth. I was always 'lean' as a younger woman, even boyish in shape, and this is coming back. My legs, bum and abdomen have reduced massively, everyone is noticing, and I feel really grateful to have my body back again. I can't believe I lost it for so long. I think a lean body is every human beings' birthright. I cannot praise this way of eating enough. Thank you so much Michael and Mimi.

Just the other day I noticed that I have a waist!
Your story really mirrors mine. They used to call me the walking beanpole at school.
I've never had much of a waist, and I think it may be the best I've had ever.
I think our generation were leaner as we had more active childhoods, and apart from the very odd plain biscuit or piece of fruit we didn't really get snacks.
I think the kids today have a much harder time. So much advertising, and temptation on every corner.
When I stand up my upper abdomen is thin, but when I sit down with my jeans on like now I still have a spare tyre. I long for the day that's gone.

It sounds like you're doing well.

Well done! Everyone's doing amazing.

My belly fat is reducing and my back fat is massively gone.
4 pounds to go to my original target but once there I may move the goal posts. I feel amazing though and lots of people have started to notice. I don't feel under massive pressure to get the weight off quickly as I know this is long term and when I've achieved my final goal I can switch to 6.1 and try to maintain. I now feel after 14lb loss as I did when I was 30 rather than my actual 42 bit who knows in a year I may have the body I had in my 20s. Wouldnt that be great!

I'm 27, i'v had 2 children, i'm spot on 8 stone right now and i still have a squidgy belly which i hate. My stomach is ruined from pregnancy. It's all wrinkly and saggy, horrible. And i have one huge boob and one small one because my youngest breastfeeds almost exclusively from the big side and wont take the small side. Im all covered in stretch marks. I put on loads of weight during both my pregnancies, over 12 stone at full term, but i lost the majority of the weight within the first 6 months.

Having babies ruins your body and there's not much you can do about it. I'm doing sit ups and core workouts but i'v still got all this loose saggy skin on my stomach and i don't think it will ever go away. I too look fine when standing up but get a spare tire when sitting down. You're not alone. :(
