I Joined this forum a 16th Feb. On March 16th I weighed myself and have lost 2lbs and 1 inch from my waist.0.5lbs a week is ok by me. I have been experimenting with 5:2 since January doing 24hour fast lunch till lunch next day, my weight was up and down. I had lost 5lbs that I had put on over Christmas but that could be down to getting back to my normal way of eating after the Christmas excess.Three weeks ago I started doing fast days over two sleeps and the scales have showed a small loss. I am 57 yrs old and I think my body may be diet fatigued if there is such a thing after a lifetime of yo-yoing.I have lost 4 stone and reached a plateau before Christmas which led me to try 5:2. I want to thank everyone for sharing their knowledge and experiences, reading these posts have put me back on track again.
Glad to hear its been working for you and belong you past your plateau! Half a pound a week is fantastic when you know you can easy all the things youth like the rest of the time - well done!
