Weigh in day?

I started IF last week (5:2) and did Tuesday and Thursday - the bank holiday confused things a little. Usually I'm going to try for Monday and Thursday, so am fasting today.
What I am interested in is what day is best for an "official" weigh in. I have been tracking my weight daily on the Libra app for android. It shows a little graph - it's really handy! But my weight has fluctuated so much in the last week that I don't know what to call my official weigh in day.
Can anyone advise? I want to have an official day, it motivates me to cross the pounds off a countdown until goal!

I weigh every day, just because I am psycho like that but count Monday as my official day because it is the day I started this new eating plan. So, while my lowest weight put me down 3 pounds after one of my fast days, over the two weeks I have lost a total of 2.6 total.

I like to weigh in the morning after my second fast of the week - this (hopefully) reduces some of the variables which might otherwise effect the reading, such as amount of food still in me, how much I've had to drink etc as on a fast day this is always about the same.

That said, a lot of folks seem to find they weigh less the following day rather than the day after the fast. I've not tested that myself.

Hi Danielle - I weigh every day (just 'cos that's what I do!) but count my 'official' day, and the day that I actually put my info on this site, as a Saturday. I fast Mondays and Thursdays - but as long as it's consistant (and I'm never going to fast on a Friday) I don't think it really matters too much :smile:

Do you weigh the rest of the time? Or just limit it to once a week? The thing is that I don't want to weigh in once a week and know I could be way out - but at the same time I don't want to be obsessively weighing myself every day! I know that I should be looking at weight loss over longer periods of time than just days or even weeks...
