Week 1 Day 1

Today was my first day of fasting ever. I didn't really know what to expect. Some things that I thought might happen didn't, and some very unexpected things happened too. I was only hungry once, about 11AM after breakfasting at ~7AM, but that went off quite quickly. For the rest of the day, I was aware that I could eat, but didn't have any hunger pangs. Lunch was a mug of peach tea. Later on in the day, I got extremely chatty for some reason and couldn't shut up. Not sure if this is related or not.

Breakfast:
1 poached egg @ 74 cal,
105g celery @ 15 cal,
splash of milk for coffee @ 20cal.

Lunch:
Peach tea @ 59 cal.

Evening meal:
185g of mixed veg
Small piece of meatloaf

Really need to focus more on planning the evening meal. I'm confident that I'm under 600cal but not by how much. Need to work out some recipes.

I didn't hit 500 for my first 3 fast days. Got my plans sorted now.
know what works for me - 3 small meals and a bedtime snack (can't go to bed hungry!)
Hit 500 last diet day and under 500, just, tomorrow.
Good luck.

Yeah, I think I'm going to sort my meals out better too. On the first day I fasted, I ate quite early and quite late. I'm working it now so that I don't eat very late the night before a fast day, eat a later breakfast and a late dinner. Still getting used to the rhythms, but I guess it takes time.

I was expecting to be really hungry on the day after my first fast, but I ate less than I normally would. I think actually feeling physically hungry has made me realise somewhat how much of my "hunger" is just boredom. Need to watch that.

Week 1 Day 2.

2nd day of fasting today. I'm having coffee at 9AM, with a little milk. Breakfast will be a couple of Weetabix and some almond milk. Then for tea, I'm having some Hairy Dieters sweet and sour chicken. Looking forward to that.

Breakfast:
1x coffee @ 25kcal.

Midmorning snack:
2x Mattesons turkey rashers @ 53kcal
2x Asda crispbread @ 32 kcal
2x tsp low fat cottage cheese @ 7kcal
1x stalk celery @ 6kcal
1x glass of squash @ 7kcal
Total: 105kcal

Evening meal:
25g dried couscous @ 93kcal
Hairy Dieters Sweet and sour chicken. Don't know how many calories as the recipe was ignored.

Week 2

Bit of a rougher ride this week. I didn't listen to the hypnosis tape like I wanted to, at the start of the week, which is probably related. I'm fasting today (Saturday) after listening to it last night, and it seems to be helping.

Week 3 Day 1

I've planned the food I'm having today, so hopefully it will go better. Breakfast is crispbread, turkey "bacon" and celery. Lunch is some veg soup. Tea was a veggie burger and soya thing. The veggie burger was quite nice, but the soya thing wasn't that fabulous. 3/4 of a sugar free jelly for pudding seems to have taken away any hunger pangs.

I kept reminding myself today that chocolate won't fill me up, will actually make me MORE hungry if I eat it and generally won't help. In spite of buying cheap chocolate, I haven't eaten any. I've also not been nibbling, or even wanting to, as much as I normally would.

Much better day today.

Week 4 Day 1

Only had coffee this morning, so I could have a larger evening meal. Unfortunately, the "dieter's curry" wasn't actually diet, so I only had a small portion. I haven't felt hungry all day.

Week 4 Day 2

Another day where I didn't have breakfast. Much easier.
