Anyone have any suggestions for pumping up the weight loss? I seem to be stuck at 7 pounds lost. I do exercise by walking on hills (I live on a small mountain) @2 miles per day but my job as a puppeteer is intermittent exercise, some days just on the computer, other days, carrying heavy things on stairs. Should I lower my intake on feast days? Thanks!

Without knowing more it is hard to say but in all probability, yes, you need to try eating less on feed days. Feast days are special occasions!

Although it hasn't been emphasized or clarified that much in the the Fastdiet book, I'm also reading a book titled The Alternate Day Diet. It is just excellent. In that book, Dr. Johnson warns to not weigh in more than once a week and ALWAYS WEIGH IN THE MORNING AFTER A FAST DAY.
Are you doing that? I've heard weight fluctuates terribly on this diet if you don't weigh right.

Thanks Aahtea,
I will make sure I do that.

It happened to me too so don't worry too much but make sure that you have the correct TDEE and that you stay around it on non-fast days.
I'd like to add, congratulations on the 7 lbs. lost! I can't wait until I lose my first 7 lbs.
Dear TML13,
I tried to calculate my TDEE on a website and it seemed WAY too high. Where did you do it? Thanks!

Hiya!
I got mine through this website: http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm
It is the lowest one of them all but it doesn't seem far from reality.
Also, if you keep a diary of how many calories you eat (you must be precise) and you weigh yourself at least once a week, you can then calculate your TDEE yourself (either you gain, lose or stay the same) after a couple of weeks. After a month, the calculation will be even more realistic.
