I'm amazed actually.... I hadn't got much weight to lose 6kg total, but I thought as it was quite a small amount, it would take ages to achieve.
I held out weighing myself until the month was up (apart from a mid month doctors weigh-in that couldn't be avoided), and have lost 3kg.
Of course its all come off the normal places I wouldn't want to lose it (face, chest) and its hanging grimly on to my butt.....
If I keep this rate up then it should only be another month, or maybe two before I'm back under 9 stone.
And the weird thing is I don't feel like I'm on a diet. I know I read other people saying that on this forum when I started... but now I get it. I'm sat here eating a chocolate chip cookie, and feeling very smug as I fasted all day yesterday.
I can quite easily see how this can be continued long term, it just feels normal now to cut back a couple of days a week. :)
Good work. It is great to hear your story. I have stalled and feeling a bit grumpy today so this has given m a lift.
Well done galtezza. I too think that it will be easy to follow as a WOL.

I'm not sure I could do like you though and not weigh for a month - depends on how I get on on the scales on Friday - I might try and give them a miss until the end of May if I'm not happy!
I'm another who couldn't possibly avoid the scales for that long!

My goal was to lose 7.7kg, then I increased it to 8.4kg and as of this morning I have lost 8.2kg. It seems to me that 5:2 works just as well for those with less to lose. I'm now firmly under 9st having started at 10st!

Good luck for the rest of your weight loss journey.
Galltezza and Snailrunner...awesome results!

This is my first week and stories like yours are so encouraging!

I'm in NZ where 5:2 isn't as common so there isn't anyone I personally know of to base how successful this program really is, so it's fabulous reading results like yours :)

I too have about 8kgs to lose to get back to around my happy place of 55kg, which I think is about 8st 4?? Anyway...my BMI currently is 22.5 so I was wondering if it was going to be slow going for a "less to lose" person? So half way in a month is exciting!!

If you don't mind me asking...do yyou stick with 2000cals? When I did my TDEE it was around 1700.
Did you exercise every day too?
Thanks heaps!
Emma :)
