The first week we were working so hard I didn't even do the diet because I was soo hungry from working all day long, day after day (painting, residing the garage, stripping floors, etc.). And I didn't bother to weigh myself either.
The second week my mom got really sick and ended up in the hospital for 6 days. During that week I had serious deadlines at work, was visiting her in the mornings and evenings in the hospital, and continuing to paint my house after I got home at night.
Most days I only ate 2 meals because I was too busy to think about food. BUT when I did eat, I ate crap (potato chips, french fries, etc.) cuz that's how my family eats. So I fell back into old habits.
My mom finally got released from the hospital and they headed back to S.D. That was yesterday. Today I finally weighed myself, dreading what the scale would say. To my complete and happy surprise, I lost 5 lbs. I am now under 150 lbs. At my previous weigh-in I was at 154. So I lost 5 lbs in those 2 weeks even though I hadn't been doing the fast.
I guess a good way to lose weight is to do some serious physical labor.
Today I am back on the diet and feeling good.
