Hello,

I've been 5:2'ing since the 7th Jan and took measurements before I started. I've resisted the temptation to weigh myself but that eventually got the better of me

My start weight was almost 13 stone, last weigh in I was approx 12 1/4 stone which was mid week although I have noticed it does vary from just over 12 stone to 12 and a 1/2 which I admit does make me feel deflated. Around half way through I used the weigh in machine in Boots as it does BMI as well, on their machine I was 13 stone and I used it again and had lost 2 pound in just over 2 weeks, although my scales are more friendly I am happy with that. Not sure what my BMI is now as I've misplaced the printout :x although I still have one to compare to.

The other day I saw a T shirt in Primark I loved but they didn't have my size so I tried on the largest they had and it fitted :D a size 16 down from a 18/20/22.
I am very happy with how the 5:2 lifestyle is going and although my weight fluctuates I've noticed my stomach, whilst not washboard flat, its a lot less sticky out and my chest sticks out, as it should, more than my belly  I've also noticed that chest area has also reduced.

I've almost done a month on 5:2 and its got generally easier, however I'm experimenting since being back at uni doing 12 hour days, whereas I used to be able to save most of my 500 for evening meal I find I need something at lunch to see me through.

Well done, you seem to be doing really well.
I've not long started, and haven't lost weight on my first weigh in, but measured my waist again and have lost about 1/2 an inch, so I'm thrilled.
I have noticed my t shirts feel a bit roomier too.
I think body measurements are a good indicator of how you are doing especially encouraging when you don't show any weight loss at the scales.
Keep up the good work. X

Great, you're seeing a downward trend! :D

My weight varies a lot too. After eating a (small) Indian takeaway on Fri and a meal out last night, I feel quite bloated and have probably put on pounds!

Fasting tomorrow will help but I feel it's a bit confusing for my body sometimes.

Still getting used to it. Realistically, my steak and chips meal last night was too big.

I hope I see a loss this week after putting on 1.5 pounds in week 3.

You sound like you've seen quite a difference overall in a short time. Are you happy with your progress?

Thank you.

Yes I am very happy with results in such a short space of time. Also with doing fast days at uni it saves me money by not buying snacks, which seem much dearer there, never seem to have time or fancy what I've got in for sarnies. Still a bit of tweaking to do but its going great.

Sounds really encouraging - great to hear some good feedback! Cheaper too - win win!

Hope your exams have gone well also? I recall you were worried about getting in during the snow?

Not had results yet, although they seems a distant memory now we've been given our new modules.

Yes, uni declared that the weather was not an extenuating circumstance and hadn't rearranged any exams. It was a case of go or don't and you'll just have to do the resit in the summer. I kind of get what they're saying, it was just that the bus companies suspended services the day before as had some train services, how was I supposed to get there... in the end it all worked out, hopefully snow won't be an issue for the summer exams. :D

Sounds like a stress fest! Enough to drive you to the biscuit tin!

Have a good fast day tomorrow. I'll be doing it too. Quite looking forward to it :D
