I have done Weight Watchers, Slimming World, Slimfast, Cambridge diet, W8, and many others. I have counted calories, weighed foods, researched...I've done it all...and I AM FED UP!! I have just discovered the 5/2....I missed the programme...was probably eating at the time!!! Anyway, here goes. I started today 1.7.13 So far I had yogurt and blueberries and a tablespoon of oatbran for breakfast, which is the same as usual for me. So no change so far. It is now nearly 5pm and I am getting really peckish. Can't eat yet as I need to go and see to the horses before teatime. I am really missing my lunch. I have filled the day so far by schooling my horse. Picking up the droppings from the field(TMI...I hear you saying). Making 2 containers of homemade yogurt ready to ferment. Trying to stay out of the kitchen...it has a magnetic pull on me. Walking the pooches. Feeding the fish.....it's along time till teatime! I will get there...I know I will.
The first few fast's are hard, no one will tell you different. But hang in there, it is worth it.
Many of us drop breakfasts and lunches as once we have food we start to feel hungry (sounds weird but its true) until the food hits we are fine.
After a couple of weeks you will start to look forward to fast days, especially if you have overeaten, there is nothing better for that bloated, clogged up feeling than a good fast.
You will be fine.

Getting busy is the best! Welcome!
Have a warm cup of broth, or miso depending on where you live.
