Thankfully not anti-5:2, unlike some previous articles in the Standard; I tend to not eat out on fasting days, but interesting to see how mainstream it has become.

I've seen many ads on TV lately with American restaurants offering many 500 cal meals on their menus. Not sure if it's because of the Fast Diet and other IF books and new year resolutions or if it's just because you really can have a substantial meal for 500 cals and most of the restaurants here often have meal options 1200 cal and more.

A BigMac (490) and salad (20) = 510 cals ;-)
Frankly my dear, I think we should be looking for a thread that said "How to eat out in London on under £500":lol: :lol: :lol:
