Great study on sugar. At last, something the food industry and governments can't ignore. Or can they?

If you think that was an attack on sugar - wait until you've seen this film and read the article:

“Is sugar a toxin that's fueling the global obesity epidemic? That's the argument UCSF's Dr. Robert Lustig made in "Sugar: The Bitter Truth," a 2009 UCTV video that's since gone viral and sparked a national dialogue.

In "The Skinny on Obesity," a 7-part series from UCTV Prime, Dr. Lustig and two of his UCSF colleagues tease out the science behind this alarming claim and the dire threat it poses to global public health.”

I thought for the longest time that I could not do without sugar. I just love sweet creamy coffee(around 7 cups a day). I felt terrible. When I started 52 I had to eliminate most of the coffee to concentrate on plain water. Now I don't use cream or sugar in my coffee an guess what...I don't miss it. Sure I do sneak a cookie/cake in once in awhile but just as an occasional treat. I stay away from processed foods as much as possible. Now to work on breads...which is just another form of sugar I guess.
