Hooked on Sugar, Salt and Fat?
25 Mar 2013, 18:08
I found this short article today that makes you think. My uncle has long claimed that manufacturers add something to food to make it addictive, this reporter wrote a book about that very thing. It's a short article, there is a link to his book on Amazon in the article. I know this isn't totally 5:2 related but I feel that 5:2 can help us break some of that addiction.

Once you start to look critically at the products in the supermarket, you begin to realise there's only about 3 aisles of good food. The rest is salty, sugary rubbish, designed to make you want more.

They have enough info now to prove sugar is toxic.

I still eat this stuff but I'm beginning to wonder, I got fat on the recommended high carb, low fat diet. I'm getting thinner on high fat, low carb and abstinence.
Sadly most of the stuff in our shops is just sugar, salt, fat and oil packaged in pretty cardboard and pushed to us as food when it definitely is not. It's just addictive junk.
