Hi:

Given the increased interest in cutting carbs in the diet, I'm bumping this thread.

The video is long, and boring if you really have no interest in the subject.

But it covers it all - low carb eating, low carb as it applies to exercise, weight loss as it applies to cholesterol levels (it goes up when you lose weight and down when you are done), and tons of other information.

If you are at all interested in real research on the subject of low carbs, a lot of it is summarized in this video.

For those who might be looking for easy to read explanatory science to counter the LC nay-sayers out there I can now recommend:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Art-Science-Low ... 026&sr=1-2

If you're flipping though this one at the book store, take a quick look at Chapter 18: Ten Clinical Pearls for a convincing summary.

And for those who are mostly-convinced and may want step-by-step instructions, what-should-I-expect, how to decide where to start, this one clarifies everything:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/New-Atkins-You- ... 0091935571

Note for the Atkins-phobic out there: This ain't the old Atkins. Much clarification backed by science and tens-of-years of actual experience.
