This was new to me. I know we're not rats, but probably we work the same way.

I think the most interesting part is that the brain fills up it's deposits first ,then muscles, then liver.
How does this system work? In some way it's beyond a "simple" release of hormones. I always thought we were "filled up equally".

Thanks! All of the species that fed the brain last got eaten by those who fed the brain first.

That knowledge takes so long to distribute is well documented being driven by uncertainty, perceived risk, and often by cost.

Those on the leading edge (like the 5:2 early adopters here) benefit because of their tendency to look for a better way today. The rest will wait (and possibly die while waiting) while entrenched protocols do long term studies to establish safety and an advocacy base.
