2 Year Fastiversary
01 Apr 2015, 07:01
Hi All, I don't have a lot if time to come here very often at the moment but I wanted to share this with you......

It's my 2 year Fastiversary today

I started at 10st 7lb, took 9 1/2 months to reach my target and have maintained since then. During maintenance I have dropped as low as 8st 10lb and been as high as 9st 4lb. I am one of those annoying people who find it easy. It does take will power, planning and tenacity. I do still fast but not always with 500 calories, I mostly use eating windows and that's every day except Fridays and Saturdays and of course holidays. I eat more healthy food than every now and have learned to like lots of foods I would have stayed away from. Full fat yoghurt, huge salads or piles of veggies cooked in other ways apart from boiled or steamed! with small portions of protein in the form of chicken or fish. I rarely snack and hardly ever eat pasta, rice, potatoes or bread but I never go hungry.

If you are struggling, don't think that eating as much of what you like on non fast days will work, nor will exceeding your TDEE. The key to this woe is sensible healthy food choices. I find that daily weighing works for me.

Good luck to everyone, see you in the mainteneering tent :clover:

Very Well done @WendyDarling ! and you're so right that this is due to changing what one routinely eats. Counting calories helps in being conscious of what one eats. All for the better! :like:

Well done @Wendydarling that's such a great weight loss and the fact that you're now eating more healthily than ever is just perfect! Keep up the good work ;) xx

Congratulations @Wendydarling on your fastiversary. 7th May will see me reach my second fastiversary and I must say I could almost have written your post! Although I had a lot more to lose than you I reached my goal and maintain in pretty much the same way as you. I still fast but not strictly to 500 calories and most days I use an eating window. The most significant change for me, apart from obvious weight loss, is the food choices I make now which, again, are very similar to yours. I still eat rice from time to time though but only brown. Wishing you continued success with this way of eating

Congrats on your fastiversary Wendy. Mine will be here in a few days. I will not reach my goal but I am making slow and steady progress. You are so right about making healthy choices and how fasting changes the way you think bout food.
