I know how it feels @loulou51. Mine is just over 1400 and sometimes 100 calories can make a big difference if it becomes a habit :cry:
I checked the 'don't bother to count' one as I don't bother to count, just count on fastdays. I will only start to count if it feels like I should be checking the 'Too embarrassed to tell the truth' one. Good poll, it reminds us that we do have a TDEE and should keep it in mind on non-fastdays. Thanks Karen x
Dear Karen, for first time ever,am giving 5:2 a go without counting on non fast days...gonna try to trust myself ...shd be easier now youve given me that nonfast day food list!
I' m really hoping i can have the experience of not needing to count on nonfast days..dont really need to count on fast days coz i think like most of us, i prettymuch know what i can have for my 500 cals...
Will be a free and fab feeling if i can manage to lose without counting for once in my life! X
I had started counting on non-fast days a few weeks ago and it put me into a very ugly, "This feels like a diet" headspace. I also started obsessing about food.

So since the whole point of this diet was NOT to feel like I was dieting, and since it has worked well for me for 5 months, I'm back to just being reasonable. I am thinking twice before eating something caloric, but if it isn't just mindless impulse, I'll eat it.
Jon I never count either, lost 1st time around eating anything I wanted a la Mosley/Farady. Now I try to eat more cautiously on feed days, only because eating high cal/ low fill foods was my undoing in maintenance.
