I think that Moogie has done us all a huge service by setting up and running this site since January. She didn't have to do it and we have all benefitted, so I don't see why she should have to keep explaining and apologising for the decisions she makes about advertising, or anything else.

She has consulted members over many additions and changes that she has made along the way and I am really disappointed that one small advert, which can be totally ignored if it is bothering you, should lead to so much adverse comment. However, many thanks to those of you who have made positive comments and stood up for Moogie's decision.

I fully understand that a forum should allow people to express an opinion which may differ from that of others but, when discussing the 5:2 Fast Formula (the original title of the post), let's not leave Moogie concerned about how her decisions are going to be interpreted. Advertising is a part of all our lives, so learn to ignore it or live with it.

I say, "Hurrah for Moogie! Hurrah for the Forum!
Hear hear!!!

Hear, hear indeed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :like:
I dont think anybody have a personal go at Moogie at all. People misread things in these forums and we were all just saying that we found the ad for a supplement for a group that is fundamentally following a path that requires no more than behavioural changes, a little surprising, and for some, a problem.

Just a forum where we do voice opionions.

We all appreciate Moogies efforts and indeed even forum owners need to work with the view of forum members, which she clearly has.

It's all good.
The thing is, this forum has 10.000 members. And I'm pretty sure that not all of them sees this as a change of life or of mentality or as WoL or a way to understand your hunger or whatever else spiritual name you can give it.

Some just see it as a way to lose weight -period.
Do they like feeling like crap on fast days? No. Do they like feeling hungry? No. Would they welcome something that might change that? F*** yeah!!!

So, for those of us who simply want to lose weight and get over and done with it, it is not neither a surprise, nor a problem. In fact, it could be a solution. Please allow some space for those who struggle, it could have been you...
