Thats great.. A lovely hol followed by a successful fast and all back on track now! X
All part of life's rich tapestry!
Hi
Managed my fast again today ended on 570 cals :-) and tomorrow my hubby and I are going to visit his sister and her hubby in Melksham and she is a great cook so will just enjoy the day with them ;-)
Hi @mariondot40
Good to hear that you are sounding less stressed about it all. :)
Your experience also reflects my latest caravanning holiday where I think I put on more than you (I was not as brave as you to weigh myself immediately, I waited until I had a couple of fasts under my belt, so to speak!) due to overeating through boredom as it was too hot to do anything...
And it is comforting to know that we are not alone with such indulgences when on holiday - and at other times.
As others have said, try not to beat yourself up about it, just get back into the routine that you know you have successfully done previously. And I would echo what Tracieknits says about not being too restrictive on non-fast days. I understand TOTALLY about wanting to shed that excess quick smart, but I think the same IF philosophy applies to getting rid of holiday gains as it did when we first started this way of eating - just stick to the basic 5:2, or whatever was your preferred way of fasting that has worked for you. Trying to be very restrictive with calories is then just like any other diet and may well not work.
Good luck and best wishes! :clover:
Well done you @mariondot40 for jumping back on the wagon so swiftly.

I can totally relate to eating a box of Maltesers in one go. They are so yummy that it's hard to stop....except to say that at some point, the enjoyment factor definitely declines....yet I keep on scoffing like a demented person until they're all gone!

Keep up the good work! I wish you all the best...
Nice to see you @hazelnut20 ..havent noticed you lately...might be we've been online different times,.anyway, very nice to see yr lovely smile! X
mariondot40, don't beat yourself up, you've jumped back on the wagon so good for you. I love that you ate all that YUMMY crap whilst you were away, shows you're normal! Who hasn't ever done the same? I am struggling to climb back up on the wagon after falling off quite spectacularly in 2013 when our Aussie friends went back home after their 3 month holiday here, leaving me a gargantuan size and constantly craving naughty but yummy stuff! Today is my first proper fast day at the start of my new regime and with the inspiration of everyone on here, I'm going to stick at it despite my cravings.
