Weighed myself this morning and I've somehow managed to gain 3 1/2 pounds - may have overindulged a little last week and had a wobbly fast day, but other than that I've been eating normally and below my TDEE on feed days and been sticking to my 500 calorie limit on fast days for a month. Only thing I can put this down to is starting Microgynon 30 (contraceptive pill) this month. Understandably I was rather upset this morning but trying hard not to feel too disheartened and continuing with normal eating and fasting as I'm convinced it will work given time. xxxx

Oh that's annoying hannah!
It's early days yet for you, so there will be weird fluctuations; water weight loss, hormonal changes (not just sex hormones) and the likes. Adding into the mix Microgynon and it's understandable. Many of the pills can make you feel a wee bit hungrier and you can inadvertently eat a bit more. Thus many pills get blamed for putting on weight , when in fact, we are actually eating more. Not that you've neccesarily done this- just something to be aware of.
Have you measured? The cms can sometimes be kinder and/or an indication of water weight (bloating/retention)
If you keep doing what you're doing for a wee while yet, things are sure to even out.
If not, get back to us and we'll try and help.

I would nt worry Hannah. We all seem to gain and lose it for strange unknown reasons but don't get disheartened it it will come back off before you know it .
Very annoying!!! Just honestly cannot fathom how I've managed to gain that, but I do think a number of factors could be contributing - I've been really stressed over it recently which I don't think is helping. Ah well, onwards and upwards!!! Trying to stay positive You're all an inspiration to me so thank you for that! X
yeah, what the others said, just water. Our minds are so trained to the number on the scale. Just carry on doing what you're doing , all will be fine.

Stick with this WOL @hannahcolledge Just see what an extra month does for you, we all lose at differing rates and water weight has a lot to answer for.
