Hi Sue
I'm another forum old timer who has or should I say still having a major blip. I was on a plateau Aug, Sept & Oct I stayed the same weight. Nov came and I started putting on weight, couldn't finish a 30+ hr fast day and tried 19/5 for a week, found that too hard. I had stopped breakfasts back in Aug ! Dec all hell let loose, choc's mince pies ice-cream, Why, goodness knows, I'm not even keen on sweet stuff, I think my body was taking the p***. I had lost a lot of weight previous to starting 5:2 so last year it was slow going for me but I was losing, about 17lbs between Jan and Aug. Up to the begining of Jan this year I had put on 12lbs nearly wiping out my weight loss for 2013.
I stopped joining in with the Forum and was generally feeling sorry for myself, and I admit to being envious of the success stories on here, but I was pleased for you all, especially for you Sue because you started at a point where I was two years ago and I could relate to the things that you wrote about, the little things like getting into normal fitting shoes made me smile.
This is a lifetime journey for us Sue, we can't let a few blips get in the way of our goal which mainly is to achieve better health. I know I can't take my eye off the ball I have to carry on with my low sugar woe.
Someone once said go back to basics, could it have been Sue
So for the last two weeks I have done 5:2, still no breakfasts, I never really liked eating early, Bullet proof coffee is my breakfast.
Do what you feel you need to do Sue but carry on with the forum, reading yours and everyone else's posts has hepled to get my head straight again. I know what I have to do. We can all do it together with help from one another.
Take care Sue you will bounce back. Our bodies need these re-setting periods we just haven't got to let it get the better of us.
