General 5:2 and Fasting Chat

18 posts Page 2 of 2
When I started 5:2 last January I was worried that I would be tempted in the kitchen so I had an M&S fuller longer meal in the evening on fast days. After a month or so when my appetite started to reset I went back to cooking from scratch and generally had salmon or chicken either with salad or stir fried with lots of vegetables.
Hi:

I take care of it by not eating on diet days. Really simplifies things.
I cook from scratch and often freeze them in batches. Soups are useful and better made in a large batch. I'm also a fan of the Hairy Dieters Cookbook. I often make a special effort on a fast day so I feel I'm giving myself a bit of a pampering. However it is often just a piece of meat grilled with a huge pile of veg
