Yesterday I drove my new car (no, not a reward for reaching my goals, we needed one ) and I realised that we (my car and me) have a cumulative weight loss of 141.5 kg It never occured to me before that 5:2 is an excellent strategy against global warming, as we will save a lot of fossil fual by not moving around these kilograms any more.

I don't think it occurred to anyone before @P-JK, but um, good ...not sure it will have all that much of an impact, but you know, every little helps!
Don't forget the orbital wobble you'd induce if the UK loses more than the rest of us.

I reckon it should be made mandatory.. intermittent fasting, that is, . think of the billions spent by the government on weight related illnesses.
Or rebates on medicare levies/private health insurance levies if you can prove you are on a 5:2 program of any kind

I think our healthier food choices help the planet, too. Less reliance on corn and soy for processed food.
