Hi all

Had a doctor's appointment yesterday to discuss having my gallbladder removed and she asked me to stand on the scales. I told her smugly that I had lost 9 lbs in the last three weeks, stood on the scales and nearly fell off.

They said I weigh more than my original start weight. However I decided that my boots and clothes must weigh at least 10lbs

The doctor said it was all relative as if I had lost 9lbs on my scales I would still have lost it. However this would mean that my BMI is alot worse than I originally thought.

Anyway, just wanted to say I hate the scales at the doctors lol

Aw, big hug.

That happens to me too. Next time, take your stuff off, even if time is short!
I've just posted about why the scales might show a weight increase despite following the 'rules'. If you are worried about what the scales are showing, please do read it. linky
Thanks for the link it was interesting.

I echo the sentiment. Doctors scales are horrible. I have possible gallstones so may be looking at similar treatment. Good luck with it.
Hi DrLCH, I had an ultrasound in December which showed one largish stone which has been the cause of all the pain. Was trying to live with it but had three attacks at the end of last week so now think it is time to get rid of 'Joss' lol.

Bit scared as have stupidly been reading horror stories on internet even though I know I shouldn't!!!

Angela - I am sure you will be fine. :) *hugs*

Oh, and stop reading horror stories about it!

Since doing the fast I have noticed pain in the gallbladder region, but I don't really know if it's something I should be worried about. Can I ask what the symptoms are and what an attack consists of?
I had my GB out a year ago and I feel so much better without it, although have had to adjust to certain things.
Off to read link.....
