General 5:2 and Fasting Chat

BMI query..

I wondered if anyone prefers to measures their BMI rather than using scales and if this is a more accurate way of assessing the success of 5/2??

Hi ginger17, BMI is a function of height vs. weight so assuming your height isn't changing too drastically it is effectively the same thing as weight? Did you mean body fat% or waist circumference? The science suggests that waist is a better health measure than BMI or weight and that your waist should be less than half your height. See the Ashwell scale.

I've recently had a few cases where I spend a few minutes composing a reply, previewing, editing again etc, then click submit and find some helpful person has just posted saying what I was going to say. So I thought I would try to be a bit quicker, but then the gremlins creep in...
