Failed!
14 Feb 2013, 11:25
:( Well today should have been a fast day for me but after not eating much yesterday and having a couple of glasses of wine last night I only made it until now before I caved in had some fruit toast!

Had a good fast on Monday but this week has been a bit manic as my partner and I have taken over a pub/restaurant - first day open on Tuesday and first night doing food today! We haven't had time to eat properly on feed days.

Hasn't helped that most of the morning I have been typing up menus!

Will plan to fast again on Saturday and see how it goes! :)

The great thing about this diet is its flexibility as to what days to fast on. :) You haven't failed per se, just given yourself the opportunity to fast on another day ;)

Good Luck on your first night doing food in your new place, I bet after a few nights in the kitchen you'll be longing for a Fast day

I like that way of putting it!

Congratulations on your new venture and good luck for tonight, rachelb.

I think the fact that you are already planning to fast on Saturday is brilliant! However, today doesn't have to be a failure (your words - not mine!) - just eat as carefully as you can - not everything in sight, which is what I once would have done!

Good luck in your new venture - I hope it all goes well for you and your partner.

Hi rachelb1968,

There is no such thing on this site as the 'F' word, as DrLch said you have merely created another opportunity for yourself. Anyway, I don't think there is anyone one here who does not envy you that piece of fruit bread (this is after all one of this weeks National fast days!)....did you toast it.....did you have LOTS of butter on it and most importantly.......did you enjoy it.... because if you did it was not wasted. Running a pub and restaurant will put a lot of temptation in your way but you will find that this will pass and you will happily settle into your new routine.

Good luck with the new business, I don't live very far from you so I shall be thinking of you,

Ballerina x
