General 5:2 and Fasting Chat

Today is my first fast day, and because it coincides with a religious fast, I won't be breaking my fast with food until Wednesday evening, around 8:00 in the evening. After that, I'll fast again until Friday's evening meal. Next week, I'll be able to just follow the normal pattern of fast/feast days, though I'll be keeping a vegan diet until the first weekend in May (religious fasting guidelines).

I've been doing very well so far. I was even able to prepare a tomato-basil bruschetta for a coworker's birthday celebration without being tempted to sneak in a bite or two. As the afternoon is wearing on (it's 3:30 right now), the hunger is becoming a bit more annoying, and I'm feeling quite chilled.

Thanks for the listen/read. I think my current wave of hunger has passed, and it's time for another cuppa.
Hi Swuddly and welcome to the forum!

So, am I understanding correctly that you are only eating one meal in 5 days? Gosh, that's a lot! The usual 5:2 will be very easy after that!
Wow! You don't believe in giving yourself a challenge do you? I hope it goes well for you!
Thanks for the support. I made it through Monday, and I'm not even hungry yet this morning.

Carorees, yes, that's what I'm doing. I think you're right about 5:2 or even 4:3 being a breeze after that. :)
