Ok, so I was just wondering if anyone else does this.
On a fast day, when I start getting cravings, I sometimes just go walk around the grocery store and buy things I can eat the next day, but mostly just browse and drool! Also i look at major FOOD PORN, namely Pioneer Woman videos and other cooking shows. I just sit there and pretend I am eating.
I'm a weirdo, arent I? LOL :curse:
Not at all! I do stuff like that sometimes!
I figure it makes me stronger, as i can grocery shop and even prepare meals (without tasting) when on a fast.
I love cooking shows period. So always watch them - no matter what day.
I've read that people that watch cooking shows have been shown to overeat. ???
So do you run to the fridge or pantry when you see something delicious being cooked?
I don't....well, i might just drool. Ha ha
I can honestly say walking round the supermarket or watching cookery progs on a fast day, are two of the last things I'd do
OMG - no way could I do that. It's bad enough watching TV in the evening of a fast day and a food advert comes on (especially M&S!!) - OH and I sit and drool - torture beyond belief. But there's always tomorrow and feast day - then we can enjoy can't we! Great feeling! Well done Zelda and Marie - stronger ladies than me and LynnO
Oh I watched 'Come Dien with Me' yesterday with a cup of Bovril lol and was nearly sick when that bloke dished up rice, mash and stew all on the same plate on their laps!!
Ha! I'm currently on a fast day.

After purchasing Rick Stein's Far Eastern Odyssey on the weekend and getting it signed by him, I'm sitting here typing out the recipes I want to try before sending it off to my parents in Aus!

Talk about torture!

mmmm curry
I love watching cookery programmes plus I'll happily go shopping on a fast day. It doesn't bother me. Eating is just off the agenda until evening for me. I think that's why I've never failed to complete a fast. I may be odd! :-)
I do dream of some food I like on fast days but it doesn't bother me too much. I love watching cooking programs any time, it's very therapeutique for me. And I often find that I don't really fancy that croissant after a fast day.
If you're a wierdo, can I join your club? :-)
I have to resist picking at work (I'm a chef), and can quite happily spend hours with Nigella Lawson, planning meals and grocery shopping. Bought cheese, biscuits, crisps&wine on my fast day yesterday and not only resisted then but haven't felt the need to get stuck in yet.
Pretending you're eating might be half a step too far tho :-)

I love a french accent! (No really, I do...have been glued to "engrenages" [spiral] on the telly recently)
I like cookery programs everyday, especially fast days, which tend to me my telly nights in.

I managed the supermarket no problems yesterday on a fast day, but I drew the line at buying Easter Eggs - I'll do that today after lunch !
