Love this topic and it is only my second ever fast tomorrow! I ladore breakfast and on Monday I was so looking forward to a poached egg on a potato cake and good coffee for breakfast next day. Strangely, when it came to the morning, it didn't hold such an appeal. But today I was back to loving it.
Hi Kathy, how is my favourite city in the world?
My after-fast treat the other night was a babybel   just couldn't wait til next morning ... :starving:
I actually find myself looking at the fruit bowl with longing on fast days and telling myself that I can eat as many bananas, pears, apples kiwifruit as I like "tomorrow", then I look in the fridge and promise myself melon, papaya, strawberries!
I do eat some fruit on fast days but never enough for me!
Oh, and speciality bread is the other treat I promise myself.
Hmmm Carb lover--- ME????
My absolute favorite thing to do on a fast night is take two frozen, uncooked croissants out of the freezer and place them on a baking sheet. They absolutely have to proof for 8 hours on a cookie sheet before you can put them in the oven and bake them. There is no cheating. I tried once! they just ooze all of the butter out without rising and it's a terrible mess.

So they are my inspiration to just keep being good, and if I'm in bed and wanting a midnight cheat, I just think of my lovely croissant for breakfast.
