Consistant Scales Suggestions!
03 Jun 2013, 08:19
So, today I climbed on my scales for my weekly weigh in and they said a very nice low weight, I was dead chuffed. Climbed straight back on to double check and I'd suddenly put on 4lbs.... Climber on again to check and I'd put on another 2lb :S

I don't mind the scales showing very little change, I've only been doing this WoE for 2 weeks but I'd appreciate some scales that are at least consistent! Could anyone let me know what brands/model scales you use (only if they're decent obviously, lol) so that I can go and buy some today. I'm not after anything high tech or fancy, I literally just want a consistent reading and Tesco value scales don't seem to offer that XD x
Hi, HopefulHeart,

The following link is to the one that I bought, including reviews; I've had it for a while and it has been absolutely brilliant. I can get on and off half a dozen times and my weight never varies:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Black-Digital-D ... m_sbs_kh_6

If you decide to buy this scale, take a look at this link, as the same scale is about £6 cheaper:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Technology-Bath ... lite+scale

And, of course, if you purchase through the Amazon link on this site, it will earn Moogie a little money for the site's maintenance.
I've got some Salter body fat ones from Argos -
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/p ... 326573.htm
They read the same every time I step on if I jump on and off a few times, although I find the body fat may vary by 0.1% or so.
I got these Salter ones from Amazon (using the shop and support this site link above): http://astore.amazon.co.uk/shiningforce ... B003X3A3EY

Like Moogie's they always show the same weight if I get off and on again or if move them about the floor.
Well, I got some Salter ones and a tape measure. I plan to start my record keeping from scratch and do it properly this time :D
