Hi all
i have been doing this wol since mid feb with no wobbles at all but since i came back from my holiday with a badly sprained ankle (its 6 weeks now grrrr), i have found my motivation somewhat lacking
i have been 5/2ing but probably nearer 700 cals on fast days and not being able to walk or zumba is really beginning to get me down.
Tomorrow is my weigh day and today should have been a fast day but i have seriously fallen off the wagon today - just treated it as a normal day
I know the thing is to forget it, move on and fast as normal on thursday but i feel i need a kick up the backside to do this - i think being less than busy at work is not helping either cos i have time to sit and think about food and in this office people are ALWAYS bringing cakes in for birthdays, holidays or just because

sorry for the long ramble - guess i just feeling a bit sorry for my self and a little worried about tomorrows scales

good luck to all the rest of you tuesday fasters with more willpower than i

jeniben
I think I know how you feel jeniben, after I got back from holiday I found it difficult to start again and know I've been overeating somewhat on my feeds, and finding the fasts harder because of that!

I'll be good if you will :D *kicks backside*
Will I go and get a wet fish?
Post holiday blues are a bummer to shift sometimes and if you've been incapacitated that really doesn't help.
YOu have a proven track record of succeeding with this WOE. 700 cals on fast days is still a fast so you are succeeding. So, you haven't managed today, you can counteract that with another day or two mini fasts.
Can you maybe look at some non weight bearing exercise like swimming just to get/keep you moving as well? And it'll help how you feel.
And you can take Moogie up on her challenge
Or I'll go and get move wet fish to slap you about the head with..
The best thing is to jump back on it and start doing. I know very well about the office thing. Mine too has so much stuff. I do get things that I refuse to eat like waffles, buns and cakes. I just pack it up and bring it home for my boys (I count my husband as my other son). I refuse to comprimise and seriously glad that my mum thought me to not care what people think or say about me as long as I am doing what I think is correct and best for me.

People now respect my wishes and tell me instead bring it home......
Just back from hols myself, yesterday was almost a fast day, overate slightly, only had one meal but the home made cheesy loaf and veggie lasagne was just a bit too good

So, a proper fasting day today, drinks only so far and homemade veggie soup beckons for this evening :like:

This WOE is pretty good inasmuch as you can pick it up and put it down whenever you like, just don't give up, it's only 2 days a week for the fast days and it doesn't really matter which days they are

So as far as a kick up the rear goes, next time you see a bit of cake heading your way, stick your tongue out at it, but don't lick the damn thing
Just remember the attractive part of this plan is flexibility. You are the one in charge of how and when you fast. You decided not too for awhile. I guess everyone takes a break. Now today plan a 500 cal meal and start back tomorrow. JUST DO IT BECAUSE YOU ARE STRONG AND YOU CAN DO IT!
700 calories is still great. There have been days when I just had to snack and went over my limit. I probably ate around 700 to 900 cal instead of 500. At the end of the week I still had lost a lb. So give yourself a pat on the back for not totally pigging out and eating 3000 calories. You're still doing great! (sorry if this isn't exactly a kick in the pants.)
hi all and thanks

No fish please - i promise to be good. I was ok after the holiday and didnt actually put any wieght on so was pleased but this week is just one of those weeks i think, thanks for the encouragement thho

Aina I am normally quite good and either keep the cake for a feed day or take them home to my hubby, guess i'm just feeling sorry for myself today

Well if you're going to bust a fast day :?: .......... you did it in style

There's always the next day, just don't leave it until the next week
*Twack!!!!*

Done. Hope it didn't hurt tooooooo much.
Ouch swedey. There isn't as much padding on the posterior now.:):)
Hi Jeniben
I won't kick you, others have already done that.lol.
I will just be with you on Thursday,s fast, propping you up.
Lesley
P.s. will have my boots on ready to kick posterior if needed.
Janeg with a wet fish was enough to spur me on last week. you CAN do this, and we'll all support you.
Sorry about your ankle, sprains are grim x
Blimey,Janeg AND a wet fish, glad I'm leaving the country in the morning,

Ballerina x
So glad I found this post!!!
Of course not because you were struggling Jeniben, but because I thought that I was on my own. I have been like a woman possessed over the last two days and I just don't get it!! I took to it like a duck to water when I first attempted it... :(

I put on all the weight I lost before holiday and am now on my 3rd attempt at starting a fast day as Monday and Tuesday went so VERY VERY wrong. I have had no motivation for the gym either :(

But today I am at home, armed with litres of water and coffee and stocked up with a ton of watermelon!!! I am hoping this will fix me... but... what happens if it doesn't!! :S

Thanks all :)
