This isn't weekend, but overall for us - I've got a week to view diary, yes, real paper book, not electronic. We write all our activities for the week, each family member has a highlighter colour to make it easy to see who is doing what, and on Sunday or Monday before we head out into the week, we work out meals for the week. It doesn't take long, but we write them in, and then shop for those specific meals, and that's it. Dinners are sorted, so no room for takeaway. Okay, for me takeaways are mostly just because I can't be arsed making dinner, most of them are pretty bloody crap and overpriced (Qld isn't exactly a food mecca like Melbourne, Sydney or London). I am not an organised person in any other aspect of life, and am generally very spontaneous, but this has worked for us for about 18 months now.
But I also don't mind indulgences at all. Totally okay with eating well with friends, having some lovely weekend treats, and love cooking and baking without any thought to calories. For me, good food is part of living a good life, I am very happy to have a slow weight loss, with no compromise to my enjoyment of food.
