I go for a hot choc and a whole one at that.
At night, before bed, I save enough cals for a Cathedral city selection (cheddar cheese, 50cals) and a flatbread (up to 30 cals).

During the day, it's a celery stick with a little Philly lighter.
Well, I'm gonna go ahead and say bacon. The brand I buy is thin sliced and smallish...but 2 slices has 53 calories. I have definitely eaten that at the end of a long, hungry day and it works well. If I can add the 70 calories of a hard boiled egg ...for 123 calories and very low carb, I have bought myself some sleep without hunger pangs.

A ham and cheese roll up or pepperoni with a drop of low carb tom sauce and 1/2 tablespoon (measured) of shredded cheese come in about the same number of calories, 120ish. I almost always have soup for dinner so that I can have the numbers for these later if I need them.

I also am a fan of peppermint tea, fizzy water, almond milk hot cocoa or if all else fails a Diet Mt Dew to make my stomach feel full.
I have a stock of fast day emergencies in the freezer which defrost quickly. I freeze chopped raw and soaked dried mushrooms blended with onion, herbs and oyster sauce into one meal portions. I pour boiling water over the bag for a rapid defrost and cook with konjac 'rice', eg mushroom risotto.

Also roasted garlic and cauliflower soup frozen in portions.

Finally a whole tin of chopped tomatoes with either chilli flakes or smoked paprika and garlic with 100g of prawns from the freezer.

And the simplest emergency is a small coffee with butter and coconut oil.
Oh dear, am I the only one that has caved in just before going to bed?

go on then @wildmissus, tell us what was your downfall! confession is good for the soul...or so they say!
Best thing for hunger pangs for me is coffee with coconut oil, I have swapped soy milk for almond milk and sweeten with stevia, it keeps me going for a few more hours if I have it at midday, Hot chocolate on unsweetened almond milk is a nice way to get to sleep and finish the day
@wildmissus...of course not - bet you there's loads of us on here who've caved in right at the last. Though it is always best to try and save our own bacon isn't it..... I know I always regret it the following morning - so I think I've now got past that point, if you get my drift. If I can get all the way to 9pm without anything then I really really really don't want to cave in and waste a whole fast day! So tell us wildmissus - what made you cave in? x
I'm afraid mine is a can of coke zero which I know isn't good for you but is filling and hits the spot. Also green tea. This was me last night. I also give myself a severe talking to about the fact that I have lasted all day and what is the point of a day of deprivation if I'm going to ruin it before bed!!! Oh ..... and I have also been known to have a bit of low fat yoghurt when the talking to doesn't work! :)
My goto is a baked apple. Core it, cut it into a small glass bowl, sprinkle with cinnamon, a dash of brown sugar, about 10 raisins, microwave for 2-3 minutes...almost as great as apple pie.
A cup of hot vegetable stock. I just use the cubes and it comes in at about 20cals. It serves double duty for me, fills me up and keeps me warm as I often feel cold in the evening.

Yours sounds lovely! I have the same but without the sugar, but forgot to mention it. I also put a dash of vanilla essence in.
Couple of strawberries. They've become a real staple at any time of the day since starting 5:2 and they're in season right now. Or liquorice tea. I am Dutch so would rather have the real stuff but I'd better not on a fast day cause once you start it's hard to stop eating liquorice. Only late night snack I have had, when my stomach was nearly hurting, has been a spoonful of low-fat yoghurt. Not that nice so one spoon is enough.

We can buy it here in Adelaide (Australia) but I only buy 100gr at the time as it's too tempting to eat the whole lot. I always thought it was low calories but now that I pay more attention I have found out it's not. :frown:
