Stevia has a slight taste of licorice. In its raw form it is very easy to put too much into your drinks or food and end up with a licorice tasting cake etc. Plus the sweetness can be too sweet, if you get my meaning.

Although there are some very big concerns related to all the 'artificial' sweeteners for me personlly I consider it a tool, to be used judiciously where needed, but not a crutch to lean too heavily on.
I prefer to have real sugar (and count the calories) and I treat anything as if its got real sugar in it, so that I don't get complacent and think that all soda's are sugar free for example.
