I've typed in my details to 5 different sites and they're all coming up with different numbers! Which one should I use?

He he I had the same problem.
Only you can determine your TDEE mainly by experiment and experience. Based on my experience, the most accurate TDEE for me came from this website:
http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm
But it is quite lower than other websites' results and I'm thinking that it is -close to- accurate because I have hypothyroidism.

I know! It's very confusing. I'd go for the middle one and see how you get on. If it doesn't feel like normal eating, or you don't lose weight, you can adjust!
If you're managing your intake on feed days then the TDEE maintenance number is the one to start with. The deficit for weight loss comes from the fasting days.
Technically your TDEE is the amount of energy that you usually expend per day, there is only one number. The others are deficits to the TDEE in order to lose weight.

We're both dim then izzy coz I haven't a clue! So I'm going for maintenance and then adjusting if necessary? Think I've got it, thanks!
That makes sense, thanks PhilT.
Just worked out that I should be having 487 cals on a fast day so quite pleased with at as it's pretty close to 500.
