About sleep--insomnia has been a problem for me for years--I find that wearing a sleep mask and using ear plugs (soft comfy ones) really help a lot. Especially good when away from home surrounded by strange noises and lights.

I've read many times that the light from computer and other "screens" should be avoided in the hours just before bedtime--apparently it is just too stimulating to the brain.

I agree with the comment of the possibility of a thyroid problem--best to get it checked out.
