Re: Things I am noticing

The absolutely biggest difference I have noticed is that I am still on this diet. Its 19 weeks which is 7 weeks over my longest diet before this and I feel that I can carry on forever with it.

I really really have to find a new belt (the last one fell apart with the strain), the trousers I have been wearing for the last two years are sliding down with walking.

I am now wearing clothing I bought last year for my holiday that I would slim into. But I didn't slim into them last year, they have been in the cupboard since.

My shoes are getting looser, its logical, when you are morbidly obese your feet get fatter and longer as well (the heel gets plump). This means a completely new shoe buying session.

Constipation is a bug bear, but I have also been taking anti-inflammatories which make it worse.

My portion sizes at home are about half what they were.

My energy levels all round are better than they have been for a long time.

My libido is coming back.

I have bones in my feet instead of puffy water retention.

My bloods are the healthiest they have been for years. My doctor takes my blood pressure 3 times to make sure the equipment isn't malfunctioning as he can't believe that someone the weight I still am can have a normal blood pressure.

Julieathome, you should be proud of yourself.. we all are :)

28lb lost and 4.5 off your BMI.. you really should find a way to reward yourself (my wife would want a handbag !)

Well done you xx

The reward will come when I have my surgery and am pain free again AND able to travel. At the moment I am saving up for new winter clothes, as I don't think I will have anything that will fit by then.

I notice that my knees hurt when I'm laying on my side, I think there isn't quite as much padding between them anymore. ;)

Julieathome it is great to read about the positives you are getting already from this way of life. I do wish you all the best for your op and hope you will get it soon you deserve it, I am sure the Dr is impressed by the effort you have put in, it is now up to them. :like: :clover:

I have natural dark circles around my eyes since forever and, for 5 years, I have one little spot on each eyelid and both are much cleaner and I don't have to put makeup on to hid them

On another note, I dare highlight my "assets" more, like my cleavage, without feeling....odd. I am more confident, in fact, I guess I can condense it like that

Brushed my teeth this morning and noticed that my bum doesn't wobble anymore :D :D :D
Don't need to reach up high and hold my breath to see the bottom of my rib cage- it's there normally
kind of balances out tummy doing jelly wobble when I brush my teeth and the
return of the bra strap overhang. It had gone and I was sooooooo delighted. Had to buy new bras cos they just weren't doing anything, got refitted properly and woe is me! Much as the breasticles are looking much better and feel the love and support, the back overhang has returned :(
I"ll just look at the front view :D - sorted!
janeg butt/mad max (rowing machine) interface is more than a tad uncomfortable.
Looking at it objectively, I don't think Mad Max has lost any padding from the seat- draw your own conclusions...
 :?:

Yep, the mad max stuff. It's moved up now.
Not quite go the hang of this!

Ha ha had to read the mad max bit a few times to get it but am there now. I think I will have to do an update as I read my initial post and things aren't quite the same any more!

ok my turn- I haven't had a great deal of weight loss as my BMI was pretty good to start with. What I have noticed is that I don't have to wear sunglasses every day. Weird huh? I live in Australia and have been wearing sunglasses virtually all year round. My eyes always felt the strain from the sun. Now, no. And also every time I washed my hair for the past 25+years, there would be clump of hair in the drain (sorry too much info I know!!) but now? none. I can only account for this by the info on cell restoration and maintenance. Has anyone else had this type of thing??
