Yes, must admit I'm struggling with it at the moment, but determined to finish it! Will return with views...just might take a while! :geek:
The fact that this was the November book had completely passed me by. I got it when (because) it was 99p.
I'm looking forward to what others thought of the end.
Just finished it. :like: I shall wait for the tea trolley to arrive before I say anything.
Noooooo, please don't tell me how it ends. O.K. I will not read this thread again till after I finish the book, is that better?

I wasn't impressed-but from my previous post you will gather the start did nothing for me either.
I enjoyed the book- except the end, bit of a cop out I thought,

I read it a while ago, sorry not a huge fan. My sister however loved it.
OK, just finished the book...........hated the vulgarity and obscene language and the ending was extremely disappointing especially as there was a very good build up, then ............nothing! I did think the book was well written and researched but I could never recommend it but still glad I read it.

GONE GIRL -GONE MISSING

I ordered it from Amazon Market place and it was despatched last Tuesday. Unfortunately it has not yet arrived.
Oh dear! Didn't realise it was that popular ! Hope you get a refund, or free new order ... :curse: :frown:
Ooooh I loved that book. Devoured it in about a day. It is dark, though. I have friends who could not get into it for that reason. If you did, however, enjoy it as I did, I also recommend Sister by Rosamund Lupton.
Hmm just finished it. Not really sure what to make of it. I agree with you, though, @Ballerina in that there was some truly awful vulgar language at times. It took a bit of a twisty turn towards the end and then went out "phuff" right at the end. I would have liked a more definite ending I think. Was it me, or were none of the characters particularly likeable?

Oh well, roll on the December read!!
I've just finished it too. I enjoyed the journey but thought the end was a bit weird. I thought it went on a couple of chapters too far! The writing style at the start irritated me with the over-flowery language but when more dialogue entered and the plot got going it seemed more credible (even if coarse language was used).
Actually, thinking about it, I take it back. I DID like the character, Tanner! He reminded me of Saul Goodman in "Breaking Bad" (the BEST drama...ever!) and so whenever I read his lines I could just hear Bob Odenkirk's voice. The highlight of the book for me!!

Just started it this morning as I have neen finishing my other blook club book. Enjoying it so far. Haven't read the reviews above in case there are any spoilers.
