Well its the end of my second fast day this week
Had 350 cals, some left for a bedtime drink
Just thinking how well we all do really..how we' ve learnt to go without and how, amazingly,we generally feel better for it. and yet many people coming onto our forums wd think we're mad..so many fear hunger pangs..i used to be one of them.funny ole world isnt it!
Hoping to do a third fast on sunday, which will give me a 4:3 week..wooohoooo! X
I tell you what,we rock! x feel dead proud of all of us :like:

This thread is quiet at the moment. We must be all busy. I will be back on UK time from a Sunday for 3 weeks so hope to be able to have more forum time. Go back tomorrow. OH is in for a cardioversion on Tuesday and then we will take it from there. :clover:

Sending hugs and wishing you and your hubs a successful outcome, Karen. Did you enjoy your amazing stay at the luxury resort, despite everything?

Thanks @pennyforthem. It's was lovely but I didn't really get the best out of it because of everything else going on. It was an absolute privilege though.

I' m sorry folks by the upcoming bad language but i am feeling a bit shocked!
Have got a new neighbour,a retired guy,and he asked me to pop into his flat to see how he's decorated it ..it all looks lovely and i was making suitable appreciative oohing and aahing noises...this guy likes to go out all day,he will take a train ride or a bus to the seaside or to a nearby city or town..he was telling me he loves to come home tired and enjoy his new flat..
He said," you know,its nice to come home,have a shower,have a shit (!) make a meal!
I was taken aback then i wanted to laugh and had to bite my lip!
I' m afraid to say i rang another neighbour and we both screamed with laughter about it!
Sorry again about the bad language  xx

Your stories Candy!! You do an arf meet em!

Oh I'm loving my EBay experience @Wildmissus I've made over £200 over the last week or so and that's just selling my old clothes and some nursing uniforms and books (actually, I was really surprised my nursing uniforms went so quickly!). Anyway, now I'm getting serious. I've just ordered a special photography light box so I can take some real professional photos. I haven't got rid of my junk yet so I'll have to work on that. The key to successful eBaying is to have great photos of your products and to offer free p&p. I'm working on it!

Has anyone else experienced the miserable dark and wet weather we've had today? I've got a wedding to go to tomorrow and if it's anything like this I might just freeze! Still don't know whether to go pink. My hair today looks awful. It's gone yellowy. Hmm don't like!

Bean

Having just had the Royals here in Australia, I must say that Baby Prince George has just captured my heart, he is just so cute I go to pieces just looking at him.

I just saw a photo of Princess Kate holding him and he is cuddling right into her, it just makes me melt.

cheers
Maggie

he's very cute - much like his Dad at that age I think - I love the traditional style clothes they put him in too!

Its lovely to see them picking him up and cuddling him instead of him being in one of those huge prams and cared for permanently by a nanny.

I wish I could get my fasting under control. I am doing great all day, then in the evening my willpower goes out of the window. Today wasn't a fast day and I stuffed my face with chocolate and wine gums, plus a plum crumble with custard after dinner. I have this little evil genie that has come back, its the one in the corner of my mind screaming, 'I don't want to feel hungry, I don't want to feel hungry'. For some reason I'm listening to the evil git.

I've been away suffering for a few days. I managed to get to no Tramadol tablets, but as soon as I dropped the nerve suppressant tablets I was in agony. So had to get back on the tramadols again until the nerve suppressants kicked back in. Basically Wednesday night I didn't sleep at all, nor Thursday day, but I made up for it Thursday night. I'm seeing my doctor on Monday and hopefully he will be able to give me some lower dosage tabs so I can wean myself off them slowly. These days I have real sympathy for drug addicts who are trying to come off the drugs.

Weather wise, I'm actually glad its raining. Selfishly I'm thinking about all the plants I have put in the ground and am about to do so. getting all this lovely fresh water without me having to carry watering cans everywhere. But also for the farmers who lost a lot of seedling crops last year due to the April heatwave, that won't be happening so early this year. In fact the rape crops are in full bloom here, playing havoc with my hayfever, at least a month early. They may be able to get a second crop in the ground later in the year if this weather keeps up.

Ebaying here too. Not much this week, just a motorcycle manual and a top. I should have got a lot more done over the weekend as I had free listings, but pain and lack of sleep knobbled me. Most of what I get on ebay then gets used for the holidays. Buying clothes etc for everyone mostly.

Back at the airport. On my way home for three weeks now. Can't believe I'm going back again after only one week.

I'm with you @julieathome about fasting all day and then busting at the end. Hope to get back into a routine next week.

Anyone watching Brit Ekland on tv right now?
She seems to be sending herself up which is great!
I often think of her when i' m washing up coz i read years ago that she said, you wash the dishes using an abrasive sponge or brush, and you need to exfoliate yr skin in a similar way to cleanse it. Every time i think of that remark as i scrub pans i harrumph to myself, wondering does she actually ever wash dishes! x
