Please keep us posted when you can dear Karen xx
Just had my lunch..was so ready for something warm in my tum
Was just pondering as i had my home made veggie soup."".
Why is it that so many things taste better with some bread ..soup,stew,scouse..all improved by a little dip in with crusty bread ..some butter added makes it even better again
And a round of buttered bread with a plate of fish n chips? Magic.
But the B n B adds to the calorie count Waaaaarghhhhhh! X

Look what I just did - bread!!! We are having Hairy Bikers chili (recipe from their web) and I truly didn't feel like going to the super just for a loaf of bread, so I said to myself - Wolfie, make bread!! And I did and it smells great. But - I can't have any until dinner (this is torture) and then just a small piece, cause.... today is my first full fast day in "ages" and so far I have managed not to put anything except water in my mouth
Mmmm @Wolfie you must have read my mind
Youre an angel to resist! X

Well I had to google a gite but now I understand. Good luck on your venture.

@Rawkarenhope all goes well with your OH. I'm sure we will be the first to know
If you fancy a meet up in Sheffield, just yell
@Bobshouse nice to see you back, I envy you, we talked of moving to France but hubs kidneys put the skids on that one. Enjoy your new life and additions to the family.
@julieathome oh dear, still not getting much sleep, I do sympathise, hope things get easier for you soon.

Sorry, didn't think some on the other side of the world may not be familiar with gites. They were originally started by French farmers trying to supplement their income. They were basic accommodation, self catering. They have evolved as things do, although some French ones are very basic! Ours has wifi,English TV, Dvd player, washing machine, dishwasher and is fully furnished! People expect more today.
Had a look around the boards and a good think. This week I am going to do 4:3, monday, Wednesday and Friday. That will give me the weekend free. I think this will work best for me as ADF changes the days each week. I am better having set days. So another fast tomorrow.
So much going on here again.@rawkaren hugs to you and hubby I hope it all goes well.
Bread to dip in stuff, yes my downfall too.
Good news today, I managed my first, proper full fast in months yesterday and lost 4lb overnight. I aimed for a liquid fast, just milk in my teas and nearly made it but I swiped a sausage off hubby's plate and had two tablespoons of custard as I was heading for bed. I also slept like a log. My very mini goal at the moment is to be back at my pre-Xmas weight before my birthday, in 2 weeks. Not too bad, just a pound a week. As usual for me, I found it much easier trying for the liquid fast than having a planned meal as the meal always triggers 'stuff your face' tendencies in me. That single sausage didn't seem to be enough food to trigger it. So I'm back on board and going back to my 'every third day' fasting schedule to get below 15 stone in time for my holidays. 15 stone is the cut off weight for doubling the insurance when you have had a slipped disk in your neck, though it is VERY ambitious. It would mean 2lb a week loss. I may have to bite the bullet and take the financial hit.
No breakfast today followed by a salad and pancakes. Dinner tonight might just be a Smoked haddock Chowder with fresh baked bread (note to self, get the bread made).
The doctor has also O.K'd going back to the gym, so I start again, with a revised program, tonight. Whoop! This time I will need work on my left leg to get the muscles toned back up after the surgery and I can start to gently work on my abs with crunches and other tummy tricks that would have put too much strain on my neck before.
My garden is coming along grandly. All the shrubs are in now, it feels more complete now I have the 'Acer' in (love those tree's). The lawn area still needs seeding and the annual seeds need to be scattered to fill the gaps, but its sorted and should be fabulous in a few months. Just in time for daughter Jade to come home. Crikey I am missing her. (She's also been promoted as well).
Life is good.

Theres a local food festival in the next village over this weekend. I have my fingers crossed that the salted peanut icecream man is there because I am getting the biggest tub he sells, or buying shares in the company.
I have just come back from my toddle to the post office van (we get a van 4 times a week for an hour each day). On the way there I passed a lady pottering in her garden, with a sign selling plants. I told her I would be back and I was. I bought so many plants that her lovely hubby brought me home in their car. My hubby just took one look at me carrying in even more plants that he just laughed. Silly man, he just doesn't understand.
Toddle to the post office, a half mile walk, was hurty. I don't know how I'm going to do at the gym tonight. Take it very, very easy I think.

Yes Julie I love those trips where you go home with much much more than you intended. Especially plants.
Is the hurty a good one or a bad one? Hope you know what I mean!
