By the way, what time does everyone want to have lunch? How does 2pm sound?
when you raise a glass, please make it strong alcohol or Irn Bru...
@debs Melbourne would be good also, but home ground always wins :)(even if it's the wrong side of the country ;)
I know what you mean Janeg!! I'd be going for English Breakfast tea though, huge pot of Brown Derbyshire!! Oh, and scones, jam and clotted cream of course!
Again the balmoral sounds great for lunch means we wouldn't have far to walk after our morning coffee, but as I have said I will go with the flow. 10.30 will be good roe me it's just a hop, skip and jump from Bus Station. I've got my bus ticket and am very excited.
Bumping this up as we are less than a week till we all meet, so decisions will have to be made.
I was planning on phoning the Balmoral tomorrow and booking a table for 8 in the Brasserie for next Saturday at 2p.m. Hope this is O.K. Venue for morning coffee, and time, still to be arranged. Will confirm tomorrow the booking

This is going to be an upmarket get together folks! I approve

And totally interfering, but fashionista's might be interested to know that a two course in Harvey Nicks Brasserie is £17. http://www.harveynichols.com/restaurant ... -brasserie

Fine by me @Ballerina, if everyone else is OK with it it sounds like a plan. :like:

PS. I am not a fashionista, if there is a dead opposite of it that is me  . I am being totally ignorant here, but the word brasserie conjures up pictures of tiny tables with tall spindly chairs  I like to eat on a broad flat surface, as it were.
Barbarita, the Brasserie is lovely, large flat normal tables, two courses from the daily lunch is £14.50 but there is also the normal menu to choose from. Harvey Nicks or Jenners for morning coffee might be nice, personally I vote for Jenners as it is quintessentially 'Edinburgh' to my thinking. Will get back later.

Good morning ladies, the table is booked at Hadrians Brasserie, The Balmoral for next Saturday at 2.15, they asked us to delay by 15 minutes due to another already booked large party.

So, far, not been able to get hold of Jenners but can I suggest that we convene there, in their coffee shop, from 10.30 onwards. Hope this is all OK with everyone, looking forward to seeing everyone,

oh my! First glance and I thought it was Harridan's Brasserie
Well this is all looking rather wonderful. Hope you have a fab day and looking forward to a few pix.
Should Ballerina attend All Meetups, as a sort of Chairperson of the Board (including Foreign a Parts)?

It IS! Are you getting your underpinnings mixed up with your relaxed dining?

International roving reporter with special responsibility for foreign parts, missing parts working parts, private parts, would do me quite nicely AB
