Well while we're waiting around for a tart emoticon to f. F. fly by (@Sue.Q are you listening?) and put in an appearance, how about some real ones from @wildmissus posted recently on the 'scenic route' tent - these do for you @Ballerina??

:lol: :lol: Great idea @Debs Think everyone should wear something tartan on the day brilliant!!
Yes @Silverdarling I would Fflyy up to see such an event if I could just to see you all wearing tartan something's all different of course. Les whatever his name is would be very proud of you all. :heart:
Just googled his name McKeown
OMG They are touring again this year!!!
I'll see if I can get him to join you for coffee. :clover:
Really??? Some people should give up gracefully!!!! I hope they can afford nursing care like the Rolling Stones while on tour :wink:
I think all wearing tartan should be a goer to id the group. So no tartan knickers please :lol: :lol:
The big day approaches with mounting excitement thanks to our cheerleaders, so I thought I'd do a summary of where we're at -

9 for coffee at the Balmoral

@wildmissus and her sister
@FatDog
@caitlin
@Nessie
@Silverdarling
@Alf
@Ballerina
@barbarita

As @Nessie will be getting in at 10.35 should we start congregating at 10.30?

@Ballerina will not be joining us for lunch so if everyone else does that means 8 of us. Various places mentioned, including Henderson's but concerns were raised that this might be too heaving and noisy on a Saturday afternoon. I am staying out of this debate as I don't know Edinburgh well enough to contribute, but the more knowledgeable will agree on somewhere and book?

Also if anyone else can make it, please speak up :smile: the more the merrier
Lunch in the Balmoral brasserie is very nice and not silly money, their daily menu is £14.50 for two courses and there is normal menu to choose from also not silly money. This might be the easiest and most central location for everyone. I shall be in Edinburgh from the Thursday on so if everyone is happy with this I can easily pop in and book the table. @Janeg
We will lift a glass to you whilst there, xx

Ballerina x :heart:
I know Janeg, I know us lovely Melbournites are meeting soon but I would still love to be there!
:clover: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :turtle: :watermelon: :soldier: :island: :island: just indicating I am a tad jel but wishing you all a glorious day :rainbow: :drink: :heart:
