@wildmissus, @FatDog, @caitlin, @Nessie, @Lizbean, @Silverdarling and anyone else who may be interested.....

I shall be in Edinburgh from the 10th to the 13th of April and thought that Saturday, the 12th might be a good day for meeting up in case folk are working. Let me know if that suits anyone. We shall be near St Andrews for the previous 3 weeks or so, I can always come through on the bus any time if more convenient.

Ballerina x

(Cut and pasted by Silverdarling from @Ballerina's post on the East Anglia meet-up thread ... @wildmissus and @Nessie have said they will probably be able to make this, as will I ... anybody else out there??)
Oh yes, enjoyed the Liverpool one so much; pencil me in please
WOW? girls this is going to be awesome, so thrilled that so many of you are hoping to make it. I'm getting excited again.....calm down......take deep breaths........oh, can't wait

Ballerina x :heart:
:lol: :lol: :lol: 'Calm down dear' :grin: :grin: :grin:

There's still at least a month to go! Lots to sort out - after all the benchmark has been set, by @carieoates and gang, and we have a lot to live up to ...
I'm already getting as excited as @carieoates did with the EA meet up.

Are we agreed on the date 12th April? Can I bring my sister with me as she is just getting into fasting but isn't on the forum.
Oh I really hope I can swing it, it would be lovely to meet so many of you. I will have to get my head round the logistics.
:victory:
Go girls. Go. :heart:
Wildmissus, it will be lovely to meet your sister, after all, this forum is one big family so of course she will be very welcome.

Ballerina x :heart:
Sadly, it looks like I can't make this unless I reorganise the world.

I'll come back shortly.

Lizbean
@Lizbean it is after all a world forum so you have a fighting chance
Sounds like fun. I will put it in my diary if that's ok with you folks. Let me know what kind of meet up ie lunch, pub or dinner and I can suss a few places out seeing as I'm local. Mind you being a boring fart these days, my knowledge of places to socialize is a bit out dated now
Just bumping this one up so more peeps might see it :cool:
@alf

I don't know if you're the only 'local' who is coming but you kindly volunteered to research the eateries which is essential. In Liverpool we met for coffee at John Lewis and then had lunch at a Bistro. The main consideration is that we need to be somewhere we can easily hear each other (on a Saturday would this rule out a pub?). Speaking for myself I prefer lunch to dinner as I don't want to get involved in late night trains.

Thoughts, anyone?
Friend of mine recently went here and had a fantastic meal - but they do a range of options, including lunch and afternoon tea ...

And I don't think by the look of it that the acoustics would mean that it was very noisy
:grin: :lol: :grin: :wink:

Or there is good old Harvey Nicks

Spectacular views ... And the Edinburgh ladies who lunch don't make a noise do they?? Oh, that'll be us making the noise ...
I'm easy (so they say), I don't mind where we go as long as it is somewhere that I can enjoy the company of my forum friends. Must get my train booked. I'm planning to go down on Friday and stay with my sister, meet up on Saturday and go back to reality on Sunday. I'm really looking forward to the break.
