Im back

but not fasting though. No that I eat much, but the little I manage to get down I need for healing. The extra kg I gained pre-op is shed :)
The op (hip replacement) went well, but horrible post op..I certainly do have felt better but the hospital (private) and care was phenomenal. Have been home since Thursday evening last week and all I do is my exercises, read and make dinner, cause no-one else around here does them :curse:
Painless hip, but everything else hurts on and of...refuse to take the morphine since it make me sicker that a cow. You know, your tummy is in upheaval and you just lay there with a Camelia Lady like arm thrown over your brow. How on earth can people be addictive to that??

Well I don't know what I thought would happen in just 10 days, but a friend told me about a girl younger than me  who had a replacement in January and she went back on her horse last month. And here I am, not even liking horses.....So I better summon my strength and muster up some patiens.

Great to see you back @Wolfie and so please your op was a success.
Hopefully you'll be back on your horse in no time. Which will be pretty amazing surgery if it can make you like horses! It's like the cataract operation restoring your sight to be able to fly planes again- pretty good if you weren'y a pilot before  ;)
You're not alone with the Morphine- it's is horrible to me too- makes me so sick.
Love the image of you lying in bed dramatically. :)
Get well soon, thinking of you and sending healing vibes in your direction.

Glad all went well. I'm not great after anaesthetics either. But now is the time to let the healing take place at its own pace. You'll be jigging around by Xmas.

Glad to see you back @Wolfie! I was wondering how you had got on just the other day. Hope your recovery goes smoothly and you can persuade your men folk that learning to cook is a manly thing to do!

Glad to hear your op went ok and that you are back here with your friends. I like MaryBeth's idea, surely they can do something while you languish in bed with your hand on your brow! I have trouble with pain meds, too! In any case I hope your recovery goes faster now. Take Care! :rose:

Best wishes for a speedy recovery - it sounds like quite an experience...

I hope your menfolk feel very guilty and decide they better start looking after you!

Tell them they're letting the side down, Swedish men are known for their cooking abilities, my dad cooks all of the food at home, as do all of my uncles in Sweden!
