@manderley , i hadnt thought of that! Thank you, yes, Happy New Year to me! X
Candicemarie, what a very sound plan you have!! It takes courage to pick yourself up and start again at this time of year, so good on you! :like:
Makes very good sense, as who wants to start a new year's resolution on the 1st when there are so many left overs to eat!!!!
Best of luck CM , sounds like a cunning plan! Hope your new meds give you the oomph you need after your annus horribilis. xx
Blimey, what EXACTLY is in that medication of yours?!! :0 No, I think its a great idea to start your new year now. In fact, I think I'll join you ;)
I really hope that 2015 will be the best year you've had in many. I've got a good feeling about your magic syrup.
Happy New Year Candy! Here's to a great 2015. xx
Bean
Great idea CM!! I love your fervour! Can I join you and nursebean too please? In a way the last few weeks I've been very determined as I have a wedding on this Saturday and I usually aim to maintain in my 6 weeks summer holidays so I'm trying hard to get under 80 KGS before Christmas. I've seen as low as 81.4 KGS so 1.5 KGS to go! My Libra app trend line reckons I've lost 2 KGS in last 2 weeks which is amazing ( I think its because I was sick for 2 weeks but I'll take it!) So my resolutions are to do 2 proper fasts a week ( and squeeze in a 3 rd here and there) and walk for 30 minutes 3 times a week.
Xxx Julianna
Of course you can@julianna the more the merrier!
Sorry youve been sick but glad you got a little bonus :like: x
This is a very rational suggestion. Why wait? Let's go for it today. Thanks @CandiceMarie. I also hope those new medications hit the mark and your life gets better and better from today. xxxx
I love the feeling behind this post - very appropriate for me as I have made the exact same decision and that is why I'm here. I signed up to this website yesterday and today is my first fast, have weighed and measured myself this morning and I'm raring to go. There have been so many decembers and christmases where I've thought it's too hard to diet now, I'd have to just go with the flow and deal with things in January and that attitude is why my weight still yo-yos and I have never consistently stuck to a goal weight I've reached. SO I made a decision to look for a new way of life rather than a new diet and to start straight away rather than wasting any more time stuck in my rut and imagining change in the future. The future is right now and change is coming!

Any tips and lessons from all you experienced fasters would be much appreciated!
@CandiceMarie best plan ever! It's so great when we make that decision that we wonder what on earth made us not decide earlier...and you are one month ahead of most people. A good resolve feels good.
Good luck with fasting and new medication. :clover: :clover: :clover:
