If I have posted this before, I simply can remember so yo have to forgive me.

The thing is - so far I have not managed to upload photos directly into a post, no matter what I do, I end up with an url link instead of a picture. Some kind person willing to tutor me? The same goes with uploading my own avatar, don't work

I've bumped Dominic's instructions for you.

I use a Mac Book Pro and when it comes to bumping I am clueless. Sad to admit at my age LOL.

What "bumping" means is I've commented on an old thread about avatars, to bring it back onto the active topics so that you can have a look at it again. It's Dominic's avatar instructions. Have a look and have a go. If you have any trouble someone cleverer than me will come a long and help I'm sure. Good luck

Oooh don't know anything about Macs so can't advise - might have been able to help if it was other desktop or iPad maybe it's the technology, and not you @Wolfie

go to full reply button not quick reply
when you get the 'reply' window, scroll down, and you will see two tabs, one says 'options' and the other says 'upload attachment' - this is the one you want, so click on it
click on the 'choose a file' button, then click on 'choose existing'
you will then find yourself in your photo files: you select one in the normal way, and it should appear as a very tiny thumbnail next to 'choose a file' -
if you look to the right, you will see another button 'add the file' - click on this
the page will refresh (wait a moment or two) and your file will appear not as photo, but as 'image.jpg' - with another button, 'place inline' - click this
your photo will then appear in the reply window as a line of djckxjjs not a photo:
you can check to see if all is ok by using the 'preview' button
your photo should display in 'preview' - if all ok, click 'submit' button
just posted a pic of my Mum's birthday roses in this way

Probably a more efficient way for @Wolfie to get her avatar up is to PM @Moogie and ask nicely if she would sort it out!
